Quantitative phase microscopy allows us to measure the modification of wavefront while traversing a nanoparticle. It brings additional information on the refractive index of nanoparticles. Associated with the algorithm of Machine Learning, my system can characterize/ identify the nature of nanoparticles and biological samples. It can also be a method of dry mass quantification of biological samples, including the infectious virus (HIV-1, SARS-CoV-2,...).

My project is to develop a method of spectroscopy for individual moving nanoparticles in solution. To do so, the 3D position of nanoparticle, localized by digital holographic microscopy, is used as a feed-back to re-center the signal of the particle on the detector of the spectrometer during its movement in real-time.
The system is then applied for the studies of galvanic exchange on moving silver nanoparticles, showing the variation of NP's size and its resonance wavelength during the reaction.
